I bought this yarn four years ago. It has tried to be a few things, and then I decided that I hated the colour, so I would just make it into something pretty and then dye it. Except then I ran out of yarn, and I couldn't find anyone apart from AY who claimed they sold that shade, so I bought a completely different colour, seeing as I was intending on dyeing it anyway. Anyway, four years later, BEHOLD!  Isn't it ugly?  Also - I would like to publicly apologise to Super Monkey for talking to her about my not very speedy progress with this far too often. |

It was about 50 inches across in that photo, and grew to upwards of 70 across when I blocked it. It could probably be pulled out a bit wider. I see what you mean about it looking thick - it's not. Probably my crap photography.

It actually got worse.
I need to decide what colour to dye it, and what to dye it with. Colour wise, I'm thinking dark purple. Dye wise... no idea.

Yes, but is there a certain sort of dye, is what I'm wondering. I assume it would be inappropriate to use hair dye, for example.
